Gatherly Terms and photo-sharing rules
Last updated: 5 November 2026. Gatherly is operated by Chris Papacosta. Contact: support@gatherlyapp.co.uk.
Who can use Gatherly
You must be at least 18 to use Gatherly. Keep sign-in codes private, use your own email address, and do not impersonate anyone. Gatherly currently offers photo sharing and face search free during testing. Any future paid service will have its price and terms shown before purchase.
Private events and your photos
Only create or join events you are authorised to access. Keep invitations private. Upload only photos you own or have permission to share with event members. You retain your rights in your photos and give Gatherly permission to host, resize, display and process them as needed to provide the features you use. Event members can view shared photos; eligible members can save sharing copies. Do not upload material you cannot lawfully share.
Face search
Face search is optional and requires separate explicit consent. Submit only your own adult selfies. Matching processes facial features in the event photos as described in the Privacy Policy, including faces of other people pictured. Your consent does not provide consent on their behalf. Do not use Gatherly to identify strangers, track people, impersonate others or search using another person’s selfies. Matching can be wrong and does not verify identity. Do not rely on it for consequential decisions. You may clear your search to withdraw consent; this does not remove the underlying event photos.
Unacceptable content and conduct
Do not share illegal content, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate images, pornography, threats, harassment, hate content, doxxing or material that infringes privacy or intellectual-property rights. Do not use Gatherly to stalk or exploit people, bypass event permissions, disrupt the service or attempt unauthorised access. We may remove content or restrict access to investigate abuse, protect people or comply with legal obligations.
Report and remove
To report a photo, abusive behaviour or a privacy concern, open Profile & settings → Report a photo or privacy concern, or email support@gatherlyapp.co.uk. Identify the event and photo without forwarding sensitive images or sign-in codes. Uploaders and hosts can remove photos through the gallery. We review reports and may request information needed to identify the content and verify a request. A person pictured may contact us even if they have no account. For immediate danger contact the appropriate emergency services.
Accounts and availability
You may request account deletion in the app or through the account-deletion page. Deletion of a host’s account also removes their hosted events and shared photos, so save permitted memories beforehand. Testing features can change, and service may be interrupted. We do not promise perfect matching or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.
